Washington, DC – Keith Ellison has been endorsed by additional state Democratic Party Chairs and Vice Chairs for DNC Chair, and the DNC Seniors Coordinating Council, building on his support from Democrats across the country at all levels.

Keith Ellison has now been endorsed publicly by 15 state party chairs and vice chairs from across the country. 

Additionally, Keith has been endorsed by more than 100 Democratic leaders and organizations, including 38 state leaders, 7 Democratic Party leaders, 40 local leaders, 15 union and advocacy organizations, 13 labor and advocacy leaders, 9 US Senators, and 25 Members of the US House of Representatives. 

Petitions supporting Keith Ellison for DNC received more than 550,000 signers. 

Keith Ellison for DNC has raised $185,000 since the campaign began.

Keith Ellison Background Information:

Keith Ellison was born and raised in Detroit, MI and moved to Minneapolis to attend law school in 1990. In 2006, he became the first Muslim elected to Congress and in 2010, became Co-Chair of the Congressional Progressive Caucus. He sits on the House Financial Services Committee and is a member of the Congressional Black Caucus. 

Minnesota's 5th Congressional District has one of the highest rates of voter turnouts in the nation. In 2015, Ellison unveiled the Voters First Campaign, which aimed to increase voter turnout through grassroots organizing, campaign coordination, and low-donor fundraising.
