WASHINGTON DC–Progressive Action PAC Co-Chairs Rep. Mark Pocan (WI–02), Rep. Barbara Lee (CA-13), Rep. Katherine Clark (MA-05), and Congressional Progressive Caucus Co-Chair Rep. Raúl Grijalva (AZ-03) released the following joint statement today endorsing Rep. Keith Ellison (MN-05) for Chair of the Democratic National Committee:

"Progressive Action PAC – the political arm of the Congressional Progressive Caucus - is proud to endorse Keith Ellison as the next Chair of the DNC.
We’ve witnessed Keith build and lead diverse and inclusive coalitions, engage the grassroots, and champion policies that provide dignity and opportunity for all Americans. Now it’s time for Keith to direct his energy into strengthening the Democratic Party.

Through his Voters-First Campaign, Keith has challenged us to run our campaigns the way he does - by focusing on voter turnout and partnering closely with our state and local parties. This strategy has helped Keith turn his district into the highest performing turnout operation in his state and kept Minnesota blue.
Most importantly, whenever an opportunity to stand up for working people presents itself – whether on a picket line or on the floor of the House of Representatives – Keith has never hesitated to speak up for those who feel left out or left behind. He understands this political moment and he knows how to direct the energy of the grassroots into a movement that can create lasting political change.

Keith has been “all-in” since he came to Congress, and he’ll be “all-in” for the Democratic Party."
