WASHINGTON DC – Today, Keith Ellison received the endorsements from seven additional state party chairs and vice chairs. This comes on top of the recent news that Keith received support from every DNC voting member in Minnesota, Nebraska, Rhode Island, South Dakota, and Vermont.

“I want our next DNC Chair to know exactly how state parties work and how we can strengthen them so Democrats can win up and down the ballot, especially here in the West,” said Tina Podlodowski, Chair of the Washington Democratic Party. “After talking with Keith and hearing about his plans, it is clear that he's the best person for the job. Not only is he committed to providing the resources we need to competing in every county, and legislative district, but Keith has a proven track record of turning out and increasing the vote in Minnesota. He's raised more than a million dollars for his state party and that show commitment, He's taken his Congressional district from having the lowest turnout in Minnesota to the highest turnout. Keith has the vision and commitment we need, and I'm proud to endorse him for DNC Chair.”

"Arizona bucked the national trend last year because our state party is led from the grassroots up," said Alexis Tameron, Chair of the Arizona Democratic Party. "Arizona is turning bluer and bluer, thanks to the work of our activists on the ground, but we need a partner at the DNC who understands what we need to accelerate our progress. Keith will give us the tools and support we need to build on what we're doing right and move Arizona from red to blue."

“I believe that Congressman Keith Ellison has both the experience and passion to lead the DNC for the next four years,” said Phil Bartlett, Chair of the Maine Democratic Party. “He is committed to a true 50 State Strategy and understands the role state parties can play in building a long-term progressive movement. Over the course of this campaign, he has sharpened his ideas and taken feedback he received to heart. His willingness to step down from Congress to be a full-time chair is a testament to his passion for this work.”

“While all the candidates who have entered the race bring thoughtful and constructive ideas to the table, I believe that Keith Ellison is the best candidate to bring about innovated and needed change to the DNC,” said Dottie Deans, Chair of the Vermont Democratic Party. “Ellison’s commitment to building our Party from the ground up, while encouraging greater voter participation and community outreach, is what will grow our support and lead to victories in 2018 and beyond. Keith has the support and leadership style to unite the party, and he understands what is needed to win elections up and down the ballot.”

“Keith Ellison gets it," said Joe Pakootas, Vice Chair of the Washington State Democratic Party. "He understands that the stakes are incredibly high with Donald Trump in the White House, and that the Democratic Party needs to step up to the plate and fight with all its might. Based on everything that Keith has already accomplished and with his inclusive and progressive DNC platform, there's not a doubt in my mind that he's the leader we need for this very moment."

“The Democratic Party needs a leader that is ready to face hard truths and make difficult decisions, I believe Keith Ellison is that leader,” said Genevieve Williams, Vice Chair of the Missouri Vice Chair. “Keith understands that it is our duty to rise to the occasion not only for the sake of our party, but our country. I look forward to working with him in order to provide the American people a choice at the polls in every one of the 3,143 counties across the country.”

“Keith is the leader we need to unify the Democratic Party and truly commit to a 50-state grassroots organizing platform,” said Juan Sanchez, Vice Chair of New Mexico Democratic Party. “Keith showed us his ability to bring people together after being a strong supporter of Senator Sanders in the primary, and then a fierce Hillary Clinton campaigner during the general election. Keith is a man who has supported democrats his entire life and will lead our party to success.”
